Culver City

Culver City has beenĀ a center for film and television production

Since the 1920s, Culver City has been a center for film and later television production, best known as the home of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios. From 1932 to 1986, it was the headquarters for the Hughes Aircraft Company. National Public Radio West and Sony Pictures Entertainment have headquarters in the city.

Culver City is about a 20 minute drive inland from the Venice and Marina Del Rey area, so it's a great option for anyone planning on spending a lot of time at the beach. Also with the dining and drinking scene, growing art and design district, theaters and studio lots, hip hotels, quality shopping, and what is likely LA's most offbeat museum, makes it a fun city to explore the neighborhood for visitors and locals.
